In the studio
Glazing eight bowls from the last throwing session and trying a speckled white for the first time. On the iPad, a series of plant studies I might turn into prints if I can work out how to get the greens to print properly.
With the plants
Monsoon has been kind — nearly everything is putting out new leaves. The big monstera got repotted this month and is standing up on its own again. Trying not to buy anything new until September.
Going somewhere
A long weekend in Coorg at the end of the month, in the rain, on purpose. Thinking about ten days somewhere with mountains in December.
At work
Two new studio clients this quarter. I'm writing more about how search is changing with AI answers, because it's most of what clients ask about now and most of what I read.
Reading & watching
A slow novel I keep putting down and picking up, and a pottery documentary I've now watched twice, once with subtitles to catch the glaze names.
The poodles
Yuki has discovered the plant shelf and considers it hers. Cameo is entirely unbothered and has taken the good chair while nobody was arguing about it.
