The first trip with Cameo and Yuki together, which I had been putting off for months and should not have.
On “pet friendly”
It means four different things and you have to ask which one. The questions that got me a straight answer:
- Can the dogs be in the room unsupervised?
- Is there an extra charge, and is it per dog or per stay?
- Is there anywhere fenced they can be off-lead?
- Are there other animals on the property?
The place we ended up at said yes, ₹500 per stay, a fenced garden, and two very relaxed estate dogs. All true when we got there.
The driving
Break every two hours whether they seem to need it or not. Yuki was carsick on the way out and completely fine on the way back once we’d worked out she does better in the footwell than on the seat.
What I’d do differently
Four days was one day too many for the dogs. Three is the number.
